It was so hard to know what we would need in New York, having never been here with kids. People who know me well know that I have a baby product/handbag/stroller obsession. The latest thing that I have to have is a Joovy Cocoonx2. With its all-terrain tires and built-in rain cover, I think it will be perfect for New York winters. We currently have a Maclaren Techno XT (with a buggy board) and a Britax B-Ready with doubles kit, and sold a BOB revolution and a Maclaren snap and go before we moved (I told you I had a stroller obsession!). I am also thinking of buying a cheap "commuter stroller" for Mila on the way to daycare. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can write reviews of all of these strollers. Our Britax fits both kids, but is pretty bulky. Unfortunately, the Cocoon is pretty expensive, but I am hoping to sell our Britax stroller on Craigslist to offset the cost. But it's cheaper than some of the other strollers that I have seen here. The most popular are the Bugaboo, Uppababy, and iCandy, all of which are upwards of $600 for a single stroller!
On an unrelated topic (haha), I have started to create Amazon 'wish lists' for the kids (Shay and Mila each have one). People often ask me what they are interested in, so I'll try to keep the lists updated, especially around their birthdays or the holidays. We always love clothes and gift cards too. Not having a car to pick up items here, we have been shopping mostly on Amazon. Any stroller fund donations appreciated!
